Growing Motorcycling in North America
Founded in 1998, FIM North America is one of six Continental Unions (CONUs) under the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), the global governing body for motorcycle sport.
Motorcycling is a community, celebrating the thrill of the sport and creating bonds formed around two wheels. FIM North America does just that by bringing together three national federations: the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), the Canadian Motorcycle Association (CMA) and the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF). From the Canada Rockies, across the vastness of the United States to the tropical climate of Barbados, FIM NA bring riders together, organizing sporting activity and recognizing champions.
FIM NA is guided by a Board of Directors, all representatives from the member federations. The president of the board holds a key role as an ex-officio voting member of the FIM Board of Directors, amplifying the voice of North American riders on the global stage. A secretary general fills the top administrative role at the CONU and manages day-to-day operations.
FIM NA’s calendar of Continental Championship events showcase skill, determination and heart. These events crown champions in various disciplines and bring riders together in the spirit of competition. Member federations issue CONU licenses, allowing riders to compete in FIM NA events and in other CONUs worldwide.
Connecting riders across the U.S., Canada and Barbados, FIM NA fuels the spirit of motorcycling, inspiring passion and adventure.
